Interested? Here’s what you’ll do:

Be responsible for the overall technical quality of the development team code by using code reviews and test methodologies

Manage the code base repository and deployment of new features and fixes

Assist the Software Development Manager with sprint planning and development estimates

Guide and assist other web development team members with their tasks

Mentor other developers to raise their individual skill level and the development team’s overall strength

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

Provide input, options, and recommendations on software features and system enhancements

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

Provide recommendations into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Sounds like you? Here’s what you’ll need:

4-year degree in a computer science-related discipline or relevant degree

A minimum of 5 years of Ruby on Rails experience and 8+ years of overall programming experience

Proven experience in leading technical development teams

Senior level programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS and Javascript

Full working knowledge of MVC application architecture

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Team player with a desire to be part of an organization that is making a difference in people’s lives
